Make a plant observation card
Photograph a plant from a permitted path and record the date and general location. Describe visible colors, shapes and the surrounding habitat. Leave identification blank when you are unsure.
Use a field guide or a knowledgeable local source to investigate later. Keep a suggested identification separate from confirmed observations. Do not pick plants or approach a site merely to repeat someone else's photograph.
